Dave was born in Texas and raised in Southern California. He accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior in 1998. He attended Calvary Chapel Saving Grace Bible College in 1999. In the year 2000, Dave received a calling from God to serve in the Sudanese refugee camp in Kiryandongo, Uganda. His calling was to free Pastor Rob from his construction duties so he could give all of his time to teach in the Bible College. Dave was involved in construction work, buying supplies for the camp, and preaching the Gospel to the refugees and the Ugandans.
Twinkle was born in Colombo, Sri Lanka, to Hindu parents. Her father’s business travels have taken her to locations across the world. She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at the age of 13 and faced a lot of persecution from her family for being a Christian. She went to medical school in Kampala, Uganda, and qualified as a medical doctor. She continued to practice as a general practitioner though she always had a heart for missions.
Dave and Twinkle met through a mutual friend, and they married a year later on May 25, 2002. They then prayed that the Lord would direct them as to where He would want them to serve Him, and no sooner had they started praying than the Lord started opening doors for them to serve working with orphaned children in Nairobi, Kenya.
In the spring of 2006, Dave was invited to begin pastoring at Calvary Chapel Nairobi. Twinkle leads the women’s ministry and is also the active physician for Far Reaching Ministries in Africa. They are parents of a beautiful little girl, Bianca. Dave and Twinkle both work closely with the people in the Nairobi Slums sharing Christ and assisting those in need.
