Ceaser Family

Eric, Sheila, Elliot & Elliana

Eric Ceaser has been a believer in Jesus Christ from a young age. He was born in Queens, New York and moved to New Jersey at the age of six, being raised in a loving Christian home. At thirteen, he sensed God’s calling on his life to ministry, beginning by serving actively in his church youth group. Although Eric was involved in campus ministry at Bowling Green State University in Ohio where he graduated in 1990, it was not until some years later that he began to pursue and trust in Gods’ leading towards committed Christian service.

After enrolling in Calvary Chapel Bible College in 1995, he began to be further equipped in ministry by serving in Senior High and Young Adult ministries, as well as teaching small group Bible studies. In 1997, Eric entered full-time ministry as a graphic designer at Calvary Chapel Old Bridge. It was during this time that God began to burden his heart for the people of Africa. In 1998, he made his first trip to the continent by visiting Uganda to minister to both Sudanese refugees, and Ugandan AIDS orphans. In 2002, he went back to Africa, this time to war-torn South Sudan as an instructor at the Sudan Pastoral Training School being operated by Safe Harbor International Relief. He also visited West Africa for the first time, traveling to Ghana to prepare for long-term service as a Bible teacher in Africa, equipping those desiring to serve in active church ministry. For two years, he was a Lecturer at Calvary Chapel Bible College in Uganda, a ministry established by Far Reaching Ministries. It was there that he met his wife Sheila where she was serving as Children’s Ministry Overseer at Calvary Chapel Kampala. She had committed her life to Jesus Christ several years earlier and had been faithfully waiting upon His guidance and direction when they met. They were married in August 2006.

Currently they serve as missionaries in Kenya where Eric serves as an Assistant Pastor at Calvary Chapel Nairobi and Director of the Calvary Chapel Bible College program. Sheila is involved in teaching Women’s Bible studies and home visitation. The goal of the college is to train up Christian workers by emphasizing biblical discipleship, verse-by-verse practical expository teaching of the Scriptures, and practical servant leadership as exemplified by Jesus Christ.

“…But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be your slave, even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” (Matthew 20:26-28)
